The International Korfball Federation is for the first time organising an international Beach tournament on the Scheveningen beach. Scheveningen is situated on the Dutch coast and the stadium is situated near the famous “Scheveningse Pier”. It is the intention to schedule this event annually. The event will be held on Saturday 24 June 2006.
Depending on the number of participating teams the matches will start at 11.00 and will last until 18.00.
The matches will be played in three divisions. Top level, high level and recreational level.
The matches are to be played with 2 female and 2 male players. Eight players can play in one team.
The registration fee is 10 Euro per player with a maximum of 40 Euro per team.
The registration fee will be used to cover the organisational expenses.
Beachkorfball will be played according to the new beachkorfball rules. The main change is that a match will be played with two korfs. Furthermore there is no line to separate the zones. The new rules will be published in the programme.
Accommodation can be arranged in the near surroundings of Scheveningen.
