The Netherlands beat Belgium by 20-15 today in the final of the Euro Top4 Invitational Tournament in Eindhoven (NED).

After a very close match, the Netherlands emerged again as winner in the final of the Euro Top4 Tournament. The Euro Top4 tournament is an invitational event organized alternately between the Royal Netherlands Korfball Association KNKV and the Royal Belgian Korfball Association KBKB, in which they invite the four best ranked European teams in the IKF Ranking. It appears that Belgium have really managed to substantially decreaese the gap with the Netherlands, as they managed to stay in the match throughout the game, similar to their performance in the World Games last year. The two teams are the clear favorites for reaching the finals of this year's IKF European Championship due to be held in October in the Netherlands. The final of the IKF European Championship will be played on October 31 in Rotterdam.

In the match for the bronze medal, the Czech Republic clearly outperformed Russia, beating them 16-10.
