15th U19 Junior World Cup 1-4 April 2010

Twelve (12) countries from three (3) continents have entered the 15th U19 Junior World Cup 2010 which will be played in Leek (NED). This IKF patronised international korfball tournament for players under 19 is held in the Sports Centre Leek from 1 – 4 April 2010 and is patronised by the International Korfball Federation (IKF).

Among the competing nations there will be teams from most of the best korfball countries of the world. The Junior Talent Teams of the Dutch district North and district East completes the number of competitors.

On the first two days, the 14 teams battle for rankings in two pools, each plays six games. On the last day after the semi-finals every team plays its last game to determine the final placings in the tournament. The winner of the 2009 tournament was the Netherlands.

The drawing of lots resulted in the following groupings:
Group A: Belgium, Catalonia, England, Portugal, Romania, South Africa and Junior Talent Team East.
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Junior Talent Team North.
