The IKF Council will decide during the upcoming weekend on the host for the 2012 IKF U23 World Championship. Barcelona and Moscow have both submitted their files.

The Barcelona bid has been submitted by the Catalan Korfball Federation FCK, while the Russian Korfball Federation RKF will present and defend the bid of Moscow. Presentations will be held in front of the entire IKF Council following which a decision is expected late Saturday. The Korfball Federation of India had also announced a bid, but did not manage to meet the deadline for submitting the files.
