Catalonia gained their revenge over England to gain 5th place. Although England took the lead early on and led 5-4 at half time the way that the Catalans were playing always gave the impression that they would get something from this match.
In the second half, with England's shooting deserting them, the Catalan team continued the improvement they had shown throughout the week and took a deserved two-goal lead midway through the half. With 6 minutes left the result was known, as by then the Catalans had a 4-goal advantage. They even extended the lead to five to gain a thoroughly deserved victory. A remarkable statistic from this game was that 12 of Catalonia's goals were scored by just two players, Jose Jurado (7) and Javier Blazquez (5). In five IKF events since 2005, Jose as scored 59 times for Catalonia, a remarkable 32 of these being penalties .
