South Africa has won the best-of-three play-off series against Zimbabwe. They beat Zimbabwe in the third and decisive match to claim the African title and seize a spot in the IKF World Championship 2011.

Match 2: ZIM - RSA 11-10
Match 3: ZIM - RSA 8-16
The victory by Zimbabwe in the second match was the first victory of Zimbabwe in an international competition and demonstrates the rapid development of korfball in this country.
