Report by Jan Fransoo, IKF President
Thursday was a relatively relaxed day compared to the very busy schedule we had yesterday. The main activity of the day was a demo at Capital University of Physical Education. As before, the workshop was very successful. The students were very skilled and quickly picked up some basics. When a match was played later on, the students were queuing to enter the match. Beijing TV6 was again present, and made a report of the demo, interviewing Ben Crum and four Chinese students. The Chinese students were without any exception very positive on the game, with one of them commenting that korfball would be the fourth "brother" in the big team sports in China (football, basketball and volleyball). The full report was also broadcast on the sports channels in Shanghai and Guandong.
In the official meeting, the President of Capital University of PE promised to introduce korfball as an elective course at the University, and gave his intention to travel to the Netherlands to compete against the Netherlands national team.
