Korfball tour in Malaysia
Tuesday, 23 February 2010 10:31

Dr. Inglish Ying-Che Huang (IKF Regional Vice President for Asia) and Mrs. Bird Fang-Yi Hsieh (AOKF Secretary General) visited Malaysia in the period from 25 January 2010 to 28 January 2010.

During this fruitful tour where over 1,000 kilometres were travelled in three days, the instructors visited two schools and various other institutions including an association, a college, an orphanage, a ball factory, a steel factory and initiated discussions with various sport leaders about the possibilitiies of further developing korfball in the region.

The highest priorities of their visit were the sharing and exchanging experience to promote and develop korfball in schools and to organise a Korfball Coaching and Refereeing workshop and training camp for in 2010.

After many meetings in a very busy schedule, a successful collaboration will progress which will help Malaysia to further promote the sport of korfball. This will include organising Korfball workshops, training camps, festivals, carnivals, national championships, coaching and refereeing courses in both primary and secondary schools and also in colleges.

The equipment support needed will be also be delivered immediately to facilitate the programs set in place.
